The Murray Darling Basin river system spans four states so delivering a computer software solution to manage water rights in the system was a complex piece of nationally important infrastructure. Negotiating an agreement between the US-based software provider, the government department managing its implementation, and the software integrator was also complex. Acting for the software provider, we negotiated the deal covering the obligations and risk apportionment of the parties until all were satisfied. We also addressed strict international accounting requirements our US-based client faced. A deal was reached and the Basin now has a tailored software solution to manage water rights and our client has established a presence in Australia it intends to build upon.
An Australian technology company brought together software and hardware to create a new generation digital video network enabling high quality video images to be watched on mobile phones.
