Jia has expertise in a diverse range of commercial disputes including corporations law proceedings, leasing and property disputes and complex contractual disputes. Jia has acted for foreign corporations, Australian subsidiaries of foreign-owned corporations, mining companies, energy providers, small and medium-sized enterprises and government agencies.
Jia also acts in corporate and personal insolvency litigation. In addition to insolvency litigation, she also advises insolvency practitioners, directors and creditors in insolvency and restructuring matters.

Foreign corporation – acted for a foreign corporation in relation to Australian Consumer Law claims commenced against it in the Supreme Court of NSW and successfully obtained a permanent stay.
Property developer – acted for property developer in proceedings in the Supreme Court of NSW regarding share of profits in a joint venture dispute.
Textile company – defended proceedings commenced in the Federal Court of Australia by liquidators against the company with respect to employee entitlement claims.
Energy provider – acted for the energy provider in Supreme Court of NSW proceedings regarding extinguishment of easements.
