US storage and distribution company – advising on the acquisition of Australian target entities valued at $200m, including, the appropriate legal structure for a joint venture, commercial documentation, land holder duty implications, providing recommendations in relation to the restructure of the target group of companies and trusts and undertaking a tax due diligence.

Family group in retail and property development – advising on a complex restructure of businesses, property and share holdings valued at $100m to facilitate the succession of business and property assets to adult children including consideration of CGT, Part IVA and land holder duty.

Internationally recognised clothing brand – managed the resolution of a tax audit in relation to the application of ‘Division 7A’ to deemed dividends of $25m including the preparation of position papers and extensive negotiations with representatives from the Australian Taxation Office.

Canadian based mining company – applying for a class ruling from the Australian Taxation Office in relation to a demerger of a subsidiary and its impact on Australian shareholders.
