about Christina

Christina loves being able to get rid of her clients’ problems. Her clients know they can just pick up the phone and Christina will be able to sort out whatever issues they are experiencing.

Whether the problem is a termination, an employment restructure or an unfair dismissal, Christina takes pride in solving her clients’ issues quickly, with minimum interference.

Christina understands the time pressures her clients are under and that most matters are highly urgent. She knows she needs to deliver advice that is workable and quickly turned around. Her in-depth knowledge of employment law allows her to do this, delivering creative solutions tailored to her clients’ commercial needs.

“It is critical to be there when my clients need me. Urgent problems come out of left field for them and they need a solution straight away; it has to be part of our service to them. It all comes down to customer service and to me, going over and above is important.”

recent experience

  • closing local operations redundancy requirements

When a foreign company client was closing its local operations, Christina assisted with the entire redundancy process for its Australian employees. She advised on the potential risks, prepared all the necessary documentation, undertook individual meetings with affected employees and helped with the settlement discussions and negotiations. Her breadth of experience in redundancies and restructures mean the process went smoothly and no claims were made against the client post-termination.

  • rapid growth leads to full employment suite overhaul

A manufacturing client experiencing significant and rapid growth needed to overhaul its employment documentation so it could hire extra staff. Christina undertook this process as well as conducted a series of workplace training sessions to ensure the new employment agreements, policies and procedures were understood by all employees. Christina made sure all the employment practices reflected best practice and complied with the Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth) and applicable modern awards. Christina’s solutions and management of the process provided the client with complete peace of mind.
