Macpherson Kelley committed to philanthropy
On Wednesday 18th May, Macpherson Kelley will launch the Macpherson Kelley Foundation at the City of Greater Dandenong Council Chambers. The Foundation is a public ancillary fund established to provide a meaningful and effective way for the firm and for Macpherson Kelley’s clients to engage with and assist the local community across a variety of charitable causes. Complementary to the Foundation, Macpherson Kelley also now provides a range of philanthropic services that can benefit our clients and their businesses and help them to give back.
“Launching the Foundation seemed like a natural next step for us to take to achieve our philanthropic objectives as a firm,” says Damian Paul, Executive Chairman. Many of our team sit on not-for-profit boards and we are heavily involved with local organisations such as SEMMA, Committee for Dandenong, Windermere Child and Family Services, South-East Migrant Resource Centre and Springvale Services for Children. Our staff also participate in our workplace giving program.
Clients, staff, industry colleagues and distinguished guests, including state member for Dandenong, Gabrielle Williams, will be in attendance at the upcoming launch event. Guests will hear from speaker, Dawn O’Neil, former CEO of beyondblue and Lifeline, and Chair of STREAT – an organisation that provides hospitality training to homeless and disadvantaged youth; and also from Macpherson Kelley’s own Jo Hastings, Special Counsel – Foundation, Philanthropy and Community Engagement, who is heading up this new area.
