Andy (Dong Kyoo) Hur practices corporate, M&A and commercial law. He holds dual qualifications in both Australia and New Zealand bringing global perspectives and expertise to his work. He acts for a wide range of multinational corporations, large and medium sized businesses across a variety of industries including within the automotive, FMCG, technology, real estate and retail sectors.

He has specific expertise and industry knowledge in the automotive sector, having acted for a broad range of OEMs, and dealers. These range from complex national projects, competitive tender processes, commercial contract negotiations and dealer network structuring matters.

Beyond the automotive sector, he regularly advises his clients on their M&A, corporate structuring, restructuring, banking and finance needs, as well as assisting businesses negotiate and secure their business-as-usual contracts. He is a skilled negotiator and has a demonstrated track-record of obtaining favourable outcomes for his clients by successfully mitigating business risk and exposure, and providing practical solutions or recommendations. Having worked closely with businesses (often as an extension of their in-house arms), he understands the need to first understand the client’s commercial objectives, their operational requirements and internal playbooks.
