  • Investment into Australian mining assets

    Jane’s client, a foreign investment group was seeking to invest into two separate gold mining assets in Australia. The client was advised by another international law firm, unfortunately received poor advice in terms of FIRB requirements concerning transaction structure. The working team led by Jane replaced the original legal advisor and completed legal due diligence, multiple FIRB applications and transaction documents negotiation, in collaboration with international investment banks, foreign lawyers and target company management team. The two transactions were both completed within agreed timeframe, involving a transaction value of A$ 500 million approximately.

  • Foreign acquisition of New Zealand dairy brand

    Jane Sun advised her Hong Kong based client through the processes of acquiring a renowned New Zealand dairy brand. Jane took the leading role of deal structuring, negotiation with international financier, and preparation of transactional documents from Australian perspective. Transaction was completed within agreed timeframe involving a transaction value of U$ 50 million.

  • Advised establishment of manufacturing facility in Australia

    A foreign aluminium extrusion company sought to establish a new manufacturing facility in New South Wales. Jane Sun was able to advise on this green-field investment project which included legal due diligence and FIRB applications and variations and coordinating environmental and planning due diligence and project specific advice. The project involves an initial investment of $50 million and is now being built in New South Wales and will become a significant market player in the sector.

  • Advised acquisition of Australian cotton farms

    Jane Sun advised a foreign strategic investor in acquiring a large-scale cotton farm with significant water entitlement in Queensland. Jane took the leading role of deal structuring, transactional documents negotiation and FIRB approvals. The transaction involved an initial investment of A$ 280 million and was completed within agreed timeframe.
