Stephanie Lloyd knows that no two client matters are the same, and her tailored approach to each dispute has led her to develop a well-rounded understanding of commercial litigation from the early stages of her career. Having started her legal career at Macpherson Kelley, Stephanie has developed strong analytic and technical skills under the guidance and mentoring of our experienced litigation and dispute resolution principals.
Stephanie’s time at MK has seen her advising on a wide range of commercial and insolvency disputes, shareholder and director disputes, and representing clients in Planning and Environment Court appeals.
Stephanie enjoys working closely and developing strong relationships with her clients. She particularly values taking the opportunity to listen to clients closely and developing a whole-of-matter strategy to achieve her client’s desired outcome.

Shareholder dispute
Stephanie acted for the director and shareholder in a well-established Company, prosecuting claims of breach of directors duties against the Company’s former CEO and shareholder. The dispute was complicated, involving careful decisions in respect of the Company operations and a delicate balance of the shareholder’s rights and entitlements. Stephanie worked closely with the employment, safety and migration team, following termination of the shareholder’s position as CEO, in order to achieve a successful negotiated outcome for her client (being, the buy-back of the former CEO’s shareholder and termination of their business relationship).

Large scale development appeals
Stephanie acted for a renowned developer in the Moreton Bay region, progressing 6 Planning and Environment Court appeals. Each proceeding sought to appeal the Council’s refusal of six development applications. Each development application related to a large-scale residential development proposal. Stephanie was involved in negotiating with Council where, notwithstanding the Court’s approach to the proceedings, a negotiated outcome was achieved resulting in all 6 development applications being approved. In the course of the proceedings, Stephanie was the go-to solicitor for counsel, liaising with experts and ensuring the efficient progression of the matter.
