Macpherson Kelley is pleased to announce the appointment of Mark Metzeling and Olivia Christensen as Special Counsels in its expanding Brisbane Commercial practice. Mark and Olivia further strengthen the commercial offering, in particular for intellectual property and corporate finance law respectively.

As a qualified solicitor with a Master of Intellectual Property Laws, a Master of Laws and a Bachelor of Applied Science (Biochemistry) Mark has never lost a contested matter. His tenacity and extensive experience providing strategic IP litigation advice has seen him win numerous awards for his work and is currently ranked as a leading lawyer by the World Trademark Review 2018.

Olivia is a corporate transaction lawyer with expertise in corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions for clients predominately in the resources and technology sector. Her experience extends to company structuring, equity raisings, acquisitions, sales, backdoor listings, IPOs, schemes of arrangement and takeover plays.

“Our Intellectual Property team continues to go from strength to strength nationally. The addition of Mark reinforces our commitment to providing practical advice tailored to meet the brand protection and trade mark needs of our clients. Olivia further enhances our overall commercial offering through her in depth corporate finance skills. Both allow us to provide broader commercial services to our clients by complementing and strengthening our existing skillset.” said Macpherson Kelley Legal Practice Manager, James Sturgess.
