Macpherson Kelley shortlisted for Asia’s top intellectual property law awards
Macpherson Kelley has had its Intellectual Property credentials recognised after being shortlisted in two categories in the 2018 Asia IP Awards.
The firm has been shortlisted in Australia for Patent Firm of the Year and Copyright Firm of the Year.
“Being shortlisted for such prestigious awards is terrific recognition for the work of our intellectual property team,” said CEO Steve Parker.
The shortlisting for Patent Firm of the Year and separately Copyright Firm of the Year reflected Macpherson Kelley’s strengths in strategic advice around both patents and copyright commercialisation, licensing and litigation.
Macpherson Kelley has bolstered its already significant IP team with the recent appointments of leading IP specialists Rita Khodeir in Sydney, and Kenneth Philp and Mark Metzeling in Brisbane, joining Paul Kirton, and Belinda Sigismundi in Melbourne.
Mr Philp, who has achieved awards as one of Australia’s top IP litigators, said: “We’re all thrilled our team and the work we do has been acknowledged by being shortlisted for these awards. It’s a great honour to be recognised both nationally and internationally by the shortlisting.”
The awards winners will be announced at a ceremony in New Delhi, India, on November 16.
