Macpherson Kelley is extremely pleased to announce one of Australia’s leading IP litigators, Kenneth Philp has joined the Brisbane office. As mentioned in today’s Lawyers Weekly, this latest recruitment further enhances Macpherson Kelley’s reputation as a ‘go to IP destination in Australia’.
With a legal career spanning over 35 years, Kenneth has successfully litigated numerous high profile IP cases with many of the cases’ decisions having set major precedents for intellectual property law.
As affirmation of the firm’s current standing in the Queensland market, the Brisbane office has attracted an additional seven new recruits in the last two months.
Well-known in Queensland’s property, investment and legal industries, Mark Hallett joins as a Consultant for our Commercial and Property team. With over 30 years’ experience, Mark brings a great depth of skills and experiences in business and strategic management having established his own law firm in 1990. With him, Mark brings Senior Associate Helen Wu and Associate Rose Chu.
Also joining our Property and Construction team is Special Counsel Danny O’Brien, an award-winning lawyer listed in Best Lawyers Australia for Land Use and Zoning Law, Government Practice and Planning and Environment Law consistently since 2016.
Senior Associate Danh Nguyen, a commercial and tax lawyer with more than 11 years’ experience has also recently joined our Commercial team.
These new appointments represent the trend of continual growth with our Brisbane office growing by over 60 per cent and the leadership group more than doubling.
