David has over 40 years experience advising clients in commercial, banking and property matters. His clients are mostly businesses and high net-worth individuals.
David has expertise in commercial transactions and in negotiating and drafting commercial contracts. He has extensive experience in all forms of business set-up and structuring, business acquisitions and sales, corporate restructuring and corporate finance, especially for the mid-market sector. David majored in taxation for his Master of Laws degree and that knowledge enables him to bring an extra dimension to structuring advice and commercial transactions. His many years doing high level banking work is invaluable for his corporate finance work.
David also works extensively in the areas of business succession, estate planning and trusts and with not-for-profit organisations. He also has considerable experience in entertainment, television and film production.
David has co-authored or contributed to a number of publications including Law Brief: A film lawyer’s guide for non-lawyers (contributed), Multimedia Contracts Handbook (co-authored), Business Angels (co-authored) and Media Law For Non-Lawyers (contributed).

Film and TV Production and Distribution clients – Acting for clients on management buyout of what became Southern Star Group Limited; working with that company (as lawyer and a director on the main board and on local and overseas subsidiaries) as it grew and became listed on the ASX; and became the largest film and television production and distribution company in Australia.
