As the Human Resources and Marketing Director, David Ward is at the heart of the two things that matter most at Macpherson Kelley – our staff and our clients.
Working across two key areas of focus for Macpherson Kelley means there’s plenty for David to juggle, but that’s the way he likes it.
“It feels like I’m doing complex work with meaning,” he says.
Wearing his HR hat David oversees all aspects of working at Macpherson Kelley, including recruitment, retention and our in-house learning and development programs that support the career progression of our staff.
Swapping to his marketing hat, David is involved in how our clients interact with the firm and how the firm presents itself. He led Macpherson Kelley’s well-received rebranding that included the development of a series of new brand pillars and promise to clients – law fit for business.
David credits the people at Macpherson Kelley for making the firm an engaging place to work and attractive to clients. He notes that Macpherson Kelley’s lawyers strive to develop lasting relationships with clients. It’s something that sets Macpherson Kelley apart from a lot of law firms.
“MK actually wants to have a relationship with clients. That’s a hard thing to do if you deal with a big corporate entity. We want the relationship with business owners and leaders,” he says.
