Rebecca led the Health Aged Care and Retirement Living team in supporting a large not for profit aged care provider on a significant extension of an existing residential care facility. The matter involved complex commercial, property and regulatory aspects, including negotiations with three separate state government departments and agencies on the acquisition of the adjacent land for the extension and related grant funding, as well as the federal government on grant funding arrangements for the project. Rebecca and the team provided support on related commercial contracts and tender documentation, submissions on state taxes and updates to residence contracts for the residential care facility and retirement village on the site.
Rebecca and our Health Aged Care and Retirement Living team support a large number of aged care providers to meet regulatory and commercial requirements for client admissions by providing comprehensive document suites for residential care and home care (soon to be support at home). These include service agreements, guidance manuals and information sheets that not only address regulatory requirements but also build-in strategies to reduce common legal and commercial risks from these arrangements. The document suites are offered with foundational education for admissions staff and other managers on the how to use the document suites in their client onboarding processes.
