Shannon is a Wills and Estates lawyer focusing on disputes and estate litigation, as well as estate planning and estate administration. Shannon works in the private clients team, assisting individuals as well as clients in the accounting and healthcare industries.
Shannon advises clients on the importance of estate planning, starting early with a will, power of attorney and advance care directive, and reviewing them regularly. When it comes to losing a loved one, Shannon’s priority is easing the burden for clients by handling the technicalities of probate and estate administration.
While good estate planning provides the best chance of preventing estate disputes, if issues do arise, Shannon provides calm guidance through complex inheritance, trust and estate matters from initial negotiations through to mediation and Supreme Court Trials. Having begun her career in Commercial Litigation, Shannon takes a practical approach to resolving estate disputes collaboratively and commercially, while prioritising her clients’ best interests.
Shannon is the current Secretary of the Society of Trusts and Estates Practitioners (“STEP”) South Australia Committee, and a committee member of the STEP SA Emerging Professionals Subcommittee. Previously, Shannon has acted as the Secretary for the Women Lawyers Association of South Australia and was a committee member of the Law Society of South Australia’s Women Lawyers Committee. Shannon was admitted to practice in 2016 and holds a Bachelor of Laws, Bachelor of Commerce (International Business) & Diploma of Languages from the University of Adelaide. She also has a graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from the College of Law.
