After commencing her legal career as a graduate lawyer at Macpherson Kelley, Stella Fordham quickly realised her aspirations in employment law and joined the Employment, Safety and Migration team soon after.

Stella is committed to providing practical and strategic advice, tailored to the needs of each client. Always being approachable and available is of particular importance to Stella when assisting clients.

  • a successful outcome in a high-profile unlawful termination claim

    Stella assisted a high-profile athlete to reach a confidential settlement with his former employer after a public legal battle concerning the termination of his employment. The client was terminated by his former employer for alleged misconduct arising out of his activity on social media. With our assistance, the client was able to resolve the unlawful termination claim without the time and stress associated with prolonged litigation.

  • an easy exit for an executive

    Stella helped facilitate the exit of a senior executive from their employment after being subjected to bullying and harassment in the workplace. The client was able to separate from the business on a commercial basis, as a result of a confidential settlement arrangement.

    Stella and the team were able to avoid an unfair dismissal hearing at the Fair Work Commission, including extensive cross-examination of a  corporate client and its employees.
