Private Clients team adds Principal Lawyer and Special Counsel
Macpherson Kelley has welcomed two senior lawyers to its Private Clients team, with Principal Lawyer Rosemary Carreras and Special Counsel Shikha Luddu joining the firm.
Rosemary specialises in Wills and Estates while Shikha practises in Family Law.
Rosemary is based in Macpherson Kelley’s Sydney office where she brings more than 20 years’ experience advising clients on estate and succession planning.
She is a Full Member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), a global professional association for practitioners who specialise in family inheritance and succession planning, and is an Accredited Advisor with Family Business Australia.
Rosemary says she is excited to join Macpherson Kelley and keen to collaborate with colleagues across offices and practice groups.
“As a national commercial firm, Macpherson Kelley gives wills and estate clients access to specialist advice in areas such as tax and property that often need to be considered during the succession planning and estate administration process,” she says.
Rosemary has a special interest advising clients with children who have special needs, ensuring their interests are secured and protected when their parents pass away.
“Having seen my grandparents supporting and planning for one of their children, my aunt, who had special needs, I aim to provide peace of mind for families in similar circumstances,” she says.
Shikha has joined Macpherson Kelley’s Melbourne office.
She has extensive experience assisting families through difficult times, including parenting and custody arrangements, complex financial matters, alternate dispute resolution and cross border matters.
“I’m pleased to be part of a team that works tirelessly for clients to achieve respectful outcomes that allows them to continue with the lives,” Shikha says.
