Macpherson Kelley takes on nine Law Graduates for 2019
Nine Law Graduates will begin their legal careers with Macpherson Kelley next year after the firm received nearly 800 applications to be part of its graduate program.
Seven graduates will join the firm in Victoria, working between its Melbourne CBD and Dandenong offices, and two in Brisbane.
“Our new graduates combine academic excellence with real world experience through part time jobs and extracurricular activities,” Human Resources Director David Ward said.
“We’re thrilled that they are joining us and believe they have a strong future with the firm. Everyone we offered a position to accepted.”
The number of applications for the national graduate program was up about 25 per cent on the previous year.
The 12-month program will see the graduates experience areas of law practised by the firm through quarterly rotations, as well as develop commercial skills through the firm’s internal Business School curriculum.
“We’re committed to investing in our graduates and making them the best lawyers they can be and deliver outstanding service to clients,” David said. “Our approach to our graduates is that we’re picking the next Principal Lawyers of the firm.”
The successful graduate applicants went through a rigorous recruitment process that included submitting video interviews, a practical assessment centre and then personal interviews.
The graduate program starts in March 2019. Click here for more information about Graduate Careers at Macpherson Kelley.
