Principal Lawyer Nathanael Kitingan wins AICM Legal Representative of the Year award
Macpherson Kelley Litigation and Dispute Resolution Principal Lawyer Nathanael Kitingan has been named Legal Representative of the Year at the Australian Institute of Credit Management’s Pinnacle Awards for Victoria and Tasmania.
The Pinnacle Awards recognise the leading performers in Australia’s credit and finance industry throughout the year. The Legal Representative of the Year Award goes to an outstanding internal/external lawyer who liaises with a credit team on legal matters.
Nathanael, who is part of Macpherson Kelley’s Insolvency team, was nominated for the award by client Australia Post.
“The Australia Post Group Legal Recovery Team have partnered with Macpherson Kelley for our external debt recovery legal services and in 2018 have worked closely with one of its Principal Lawyers, Nathanael Kitingan,” Australia Post National Legal Recovery Manager David Condello said.
“When seeking advice on matters, we are given clear, open and frank assessment based on the likelihood of recovering our debit in a cost effective manner. It is integral for Nathanael to foster the relationship with the client, rather than just simply clocking up ‘billable hours’, which is refreshing.
“With Nathanael’s approach, there are no surprises, and expectations are clear from the outset. We don’t consider Nathanael and Macpherson Kelley as just another supplier – they are an integral part of our team!”
Principal Lawyer and Insolvency team lead Victoria Nomikos said the award was outstanding recognition for Nathanael and the value he brings to clients and the Macpherson Kelley team.
“We’re all thrilled for Nat winning this award and thank Australia Post for nominating him,” she said.
