A couple with significant business interests wanted to ensure their business was protected for their daughters if they passed away. They wanted to ensure their daughters could continue the business and everyone knew their role and what to do if the parents died. Macpherson Kelley prepared Wills, Powers of Attorney, Appointments of Medical Treatment Decisions Maker, Binding Death Benefit Nominations and Deeds of Variation for their trusts. We then held an information session with the family so everyone was clear on what had been planned. While the parents were still only in their 50s, it gave them peace of mind that succession planning was in place and their daughters were provided for.

When an elderly couple with no immediate family but significant property interests passed away within weeks of each other, Macpherson Kelley administered the distribution of their estate. We managed the sale of their property, donations to various charities the couple wanted to support, and found homes for their farm animals, which they had considered their children.
