Seven senior lawyers at Macpherson Kelley have been listed in The Best Lawyers in Australia^TM (2021 Edition), with one also named “Lawyer of the Year” for his practice area in Melbourne.

Best Lawyers lists are compiled based on an exhaustive peer-review evaluation.

The Macpherson Kelley lawyers who have been included in the 2021 list are:

• Managing Principal Lawyer Virginia Waterhouse for Commercial Law, Corporate / Governance Practice, Corporate Law
• Principal Lawyer John-Paul Cashen for Defamation and Media Law
• Principal Lawyer Justin Quill for Defamation and Media Law
• Principal Lawyer Luke Gattuso for Labour and Employment Law
• Consultant John-Anthony Hodgens for Employee Benefits Law
• Consultant Kenneth Philp for Intellectual Property Law, Litigation
• Special Counsel Olivia Christensen for Equity Capital Markets Law.

John-Paul was also named the Best Lawyers 2021 Defamation and Media Law “Lawyer of the Year” in Melbourne. The “Lawyer of the Year” is awarded to individual lawyers with the highest overall peer-feedback for a specific practice area and region, with only one lawyer named for each speciality and location.

Macpherson Kelley CEO Steve Parker congratulated our lawyers on being listed.

It’s the ninth year that Virginia has featured in the list, while John-Paul and Justin have been recognised for the past five years. This is the first year that Luke, John-Anthony, Kenneth and Olivia have appeared in the list.
