Macpherson Kelley’s Intellectual Property team receive international recognition
Macpherson Kelley’s Intellectual Property team has been recognised for its exceptional trade mark prosecution by the international publication Managing IP.
This is the third year in a row that the team has been recognised, with Principal Lawyer Mark Metzeling listed in the Trade Mark and Patent categories of the IP Stars 2022 ranking. Paul Kirton and Belinda Sigismundi are also listed on Managing IP’s directory as notable practitioners in their field.
Commenting on the accolade, Mark Metzeling put the success down to the supportive nature of the team and their willingness to seek unique solutions for clients.
“I’m honoured to receive recognition for Managing IP’s 2022 rankings. Our team works collaboratively to exceed the expectations of our clients, and this has certainly been seen through the breadth of work coming through our door this year,” said Mark Metzeling.
Macpherson Kelley’s IP team has undergone significant growth and development to keep up with an influx of work from clients. IP and defamation lawyer Stuart Gibson joined the team in March this year and Brisbane’s IP team has expanded its capabilities by welcoming fresh faces to the practice group.
“I think what makes our team unique is how motivated we are to safeguard our clients’ brand and future success at any cost. Our clients work incredibly hard to come up with unique business concepts and we see it as our duty to protect their IP with the same conviction,” said Mark.
“It’s not just a job for us – we really love what we do.”
Earlier this year, Macpherson Kelley’s Intellectual Property team gained recognition from WTR 1000 for Trademark Prosecution and Strategy. Mark Metzeling also won recognition in WTR 1000 for Trademark Prosecution and in WIPR Leaders 2022 for Trade Marks.
